Hello my name is Stephen Alexander and I would like to welcome you to my blog.
I am a Texas history teacher, living in College Station, Texas (Home of the Fighting Texas Aggies). I started teaching in January 2001. I enjoy the kids and the subject. Although I prefer 8th grade U.S. History.
I am married to a beautiful woman named Lisa. We met at church while attending Texas A&M. She has been and continues to be the greatest blessing God has given me.
I started writing this blog because I would like to be a better writer. I don’t have assignments anymore that really make me write. I have never considered myself a very good writer. So with all that in mind I thought this would help me to write and hopefully develop into a better writer. The title of the blog is discipline for two reasons. Throughout my life I have recognized a need to grow in self-discipline. If you were to look in my journal which is not even half used and covers several years of journaling (or not journaling), you would see that I have struggled with the discipline. So I hope to use this as an opportunity to write more often and in a more disciplined way. I can’t remember the second reason because I didn’t write it down.
